Moroccanoil Scalp Balancing Shampoo

1. Prepare your hair

• Thoroughly wet your hair with warm (not hot) water. Warm water helps open the cuticle, loosens excess oil, and prepares your scalp for cleansing.

2.Dispense the right amount

• For short to medium-length hair: use about the size of a coin.
• For long or thick hair: use slightly more but avoid overusing shampoo.

3. Apply to the scalp first

• Focus the shampoo directly onto your scalp and roots, as this is where most oil, buildup, and impurities accumulate.
• Avoid dumping shampoo directly onto the ends. Your hair length will be cleansed as the shampoo rinses through.

4. Massage gently

• Use your fingertips (not nails) to massage the scalp in circular motions.
• Spend 1–2 minutes massaging to stimulate circulation and ensure even cleansing.

5. Add water if needed

• If the shampoo doesn’t lather easily, add a small amount of water to your hair rather than adding more product.

6. Rinse thoroughly

• Rinse with warm water until all shampoo is completely removed. Leftover residue can cause dryness or irritation.

7. Repeat if necessary

• If hair is very oily or has heavy product buildup, repeat the shampooing process.
• The first wash loosens dirt and oil; the second provides a deeper cleanse.

8. Follow with conditioner

• Always apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends of the hair.
• Avoid the scalp unless the conditioner is specially formulated for scalp care.

9. Final rinse

• Rinse with cool or lukewarm water to help seal
  the cuticle, leaving hair smoother and shinier.
